Re: Captain fantastic?
Noble looked much better in the first half of the season when he didn't have Nolan alongside him.

Re: Captain fantastic?
Playing with Nolan seriously affects Noble's game - he should stop taking all the free kicks but a season without Nolan will show Noble's real ability

I guess you clearly didn't see the game as the surrender of Kouyate, Song and Downing was sickening.

Re: Captain fantastic?
Definitely a player who divides opinions and I'd probably say it's been his worse ever season.

Be nice to see him under a different manager, though if we are to push on, he should probably only be a squad player for me.

Re: Captain fantastic?
That game is exactly what I mean but Noble wasn't controlling the game was he?

You mean like this season at Tottenham when Noble ran and controlled the game whilst we went 2-0 up only to be taken off which resulted in the side collapsing?

I thought he was fishing so that's why I didn't answer it.

Re: Captain fantastic?
He'd be a good player to bring on when we're 1 - 0 up with 20 minutes to go against Tottenham away.

Oliver Cromwell 6:25 Mon May 25

Hopefully offload him

Re: Captain fantastic?
Wasn't he captain for the half of the season when we were in the top four.....then nolan got fit(sort of) and captained the side for the majority of the second half of the season
--------

Wasn't hard to show the idiots on here up, Norf managed in 3 lines.

Is that a mods or a personal opinion cot?

Re: Captain fantastic?
If we want to PROGRESS he is a squad player and NOT a captain

mentor 5:13 Mon May 25
Re: Captain fantastic?
He will only shine if we're in the bottom half of the table. I personally doubt he'll feature much next season.

cup of tea 5:13 Mon May 25
Re: Captain fantastic?
Hopefully a promoted club will big £3-4m for him. Fuck him off if we want to improve. Fucking floaty 5 year cunt

Noble will shine next season.

Re: Captain fantastic?
Agreed hornchurch.

Noble has been plodding along as nolans best mate but he needs to realise it's al change at the top.

It's a shame really as he should have put in the same level of work as lampard and taken more shots from open play and come up with better dead ball options instead of the noble float, game after game, season after season.

Noble can only blame himself. I remember listening to him in one of the lounges after a one nil win at home win in the championship season against some team we will never play again (we were keeping the ball in the corner for the final 10 mins) and noble said he was happy with a one nil and style of play was not important. He obviously played in that comfort zone ever since.

If song stays, then he is the man infront of the back 4 with kouyate

Agreed. But I wouldn't like to see him bring someone in and force the new captain on the current players like BFS did with Nolan.

I'd rather he took his time and chose one of the longer serving players who already has the respect of the other players.

Re: Captain fantastic?
I'd like to see the new manager appoint a new captain. Noble is not the answer, and Nolan's finished.

Re: Captain fantastic?
Hate to say it Rodfarts but since the contract has been signed you have been proved right.

Gone from average to absolute dog shit IF we are to improve he needs to go.

David L 11:41 Mon May 25
Re: Captain fantastic?
Being totally - and i mean TOTALLY - dependent on his right foot causes him no end of problems, and really limits his ability to do anything meaningful with the ball.Watch him next season, and another four after that.

Davenport 11:37 Mon May 25
Re: Captain fantastic?
I worry for us next season if we are rewarding utter averageness with 5 year contracts.

We need to sign alot of players.
